This month is the 30th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a global impact especially on people with disabilities. Among those impacted includes people with disabilities whether as artists with disabilities or as patrons of the arts.
How has the pandemic impacted the arts community and the disability community? At a virtual town hall to take place July 17, 2020, 10:00 AM ET, you can hear from local Massachusetts artists with disabilities – Elbert “EJ” Joseph, Ellice Patterson, and Kerry Thompson. This town hall is also an opportunity to hear from the arts community on how they are moving forward to ensure that people with disabilities still have access to the arts.
American Sign Language and CART will be provided. Registration required. If you have any questions, please email Kerry at kerry@silentrhythmsboston.org.
