Call for Public Artist The City of Cambridge, Massachusetts, is seeking artists to create a major public artwork outside the city’s new Tobin Montessori and Vassal Lane Upper Schools complex, as part of a reconstruction of the educational and community hub at 197 Vassal Lane. Artists are invited to submit your qualifications – images of past work and biographical information – to be considered for the $650,000 commission. Learn more.

Choreographers The ninth annual National Choreography Month (NACHMO) Boston is looking for new or significantly reworked pieces to be choreographed in January 2021. NACHMO Boston is open to anyone regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, military status, choreographic experience, or style of dance. New England Nonfiction Filmmakers LEF New England is now accepting submissions for Moving Image Fund grants from New England-based filmmakers making feature-length (40+ minute) non-fiction film projects. This program cycle accepts applications for Production grants of $15,000; and Post-production grants of $25,000 (Post-production applications are only open to projects that have received prior LEF funding). Curatorial Proposals The Cambridge Art Association is pleased to announce an open call for Curatorial Proposals for a 4-week exhibit, to be held in January 2022 at our Kathryn Schultz Gallery (located at 25 Lowell Street, Cambridge MA 02138). This call is open to New England-based curators. They are seeking new voices, and exhibits that are thought-provoking, transformative, and those that present new ideas. This platform is a unique opportunity for both emerging curators to present a project or idea with support from CAA’s full-time staff. In addition to presenting a curatorial exhibit, the selected curator will also jury a complementary exhibit in their University Place Gallery. Benefits include a $1,000 stipend. Learn more.
