Artists-in-Residence Program I-Park is now accepting applications for its fully-funded multi-disciplinary artists’ residencies. The residencies are open to artists and designers working in the visual arts, creative writing, music composition/sound art, moving image/new media and architecture/landscape design. Except for a 6-week residency in September/October, all sessions are 4-weeks in duration. Located within a 450-acre nature preserve in rural East Haddam, Connecticut (U.S.), I-Park provides residents with a quiet, retreat-type setting, private living quarters in a renovated 1840s farmhouse, a private studio, meals program, fully equipped workshop and modest library – as well as creative access to its expansive grounds. Call to Artists The Artist Project is a collaboration between the MFA and twelve after-school community organizations in the Boston area. The Artist and the children create a collaborative work of art inspired by the Museum’s encyclopedic collection. Each year a new experienced artist with a passion for community arts plans and leads a project with children between the ages of six and twelve. The role of the Lead Artist is to guide the children and steer the work of art into its final exhibited shape. The MFA provides the selected artist with a stipend of $25,000 and a budget of $5,000 for materials. The Lead Artist works with MFA staff and collections and is recognized across all exhibition materials including postcards and the MFA website. Learn more.

Sculptors SculptureNow is accepting applications from established and emerging sculptors for its twenty-second consecutive, juried, annual exhibition of large-scale, outdoor sculptures. The show will be presented for the eighth year at The Mount, Edith Wharton’s Home, a historic site in Lenox, MA, from June 1 to October 31, 2020. A $1,000 honorarium will be provided for each artist in the exhibition. Existing and proposed sculptures may be submitted for consideration. There is no exhibition theme and no application fee. Up to 30 sculptures may be selected. The exhibition will include both invited and juried sculptors. Learn more.
