Call for Artists The Jamestown Arts Center in Rhode Island is hosting an Outdoor Arts Biennial in 2022, with artworks selected from a national call to artists for existing or new artwork proposals. One of the Biennials goals is to be an incubator for artists’ ideas and processes. Call for Artists Aesthetics, Inc. is currently selecting artwork for a large multi-hospital system in New England. To that end, Aesthetics, Inc. is compiling a catalogue of eligible artists living or working in New England, with an emphasis on Suffolk County, Massachusetts. Artists who work in various media to be considered for future commission or purchase of artwork and whose artwork represents the criteria listed in this CFA will be selected for future purchase and/or commissioned. They are looking for original artwork in a wide variety of media including sculpture, two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork, oil, watercolor, and acrylic paintings, limited edition prints, giclee prints, mixed media art, glass, mosaics, wall sculpture, fabric art, collages, and photography. Existing and commissioned artwork will be considered. Art will be placed in the gardens, patio terraces, corridors, conference rooms, administrative and staff areas, waiting and consultation rooms, patient rooms, treatment spaces and a variety of other public and non-clinical areas. Performing Artists Grant USArtists International is a grant program for performing artists/ensembles in the United States and its territories. The program helps fund U.S. artists to travel abroad and perform at significant cultural festivals and performing arts marketplaces abroad, professionally developing U.S. artists and creating international cultural exchange opportunities. USArtists International supports performances by U.S. dance, music, and theater ensembles and solo artists invited to perform at important cultural festivals and performing arts marketplaces anywhere in the world outside the United States and its territories. Call for 30-second Videos, Animations, Computer Generated Work Boston Cyberarts and the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority invite artists to submit proposals for the 32nd round of Art on the Marquee at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. They are looking for ten 30-second videos, animations or computer generated work, using the entire Marquee in colorful and creative ways. Artists are awarded $500 for selected videos. Artist in Residence Program Bernheim’s Artist in Residence program annually awards artists the opportunity to live at Bernheim and create site specific work inspired by their total immersion experience in the natural environment of 16,000+ acres in Clermont, KY. In 2021, this program expanded to include an Environmental Artist in Residence that encourages artists to examine environmental issues and severity of the climate crisis to promote dialogue and positive change for the natural environment and world at large. Call to Artists MIXMASTER is an exhibition at the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury, CT, that seeks to discover and recognize the talents of its artist members working in New England and the Tri-State region. BIPOC Performing Artists The U.S. Regional Arts Organizations and Western Arts Alliance (WAA) are providing a virtual international showcase opportunity for performing artists. This opportunity is part of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Performing Arts Discovery Program (PAD). All US-based performing artists with readiness to tour internationally are eligible for the program. PAD encourages those who self-identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and LGBTQ+ to apply. The panel will select twenty artists/ensembles in this phase of the program.
