Furniture Artist Fellowship The John D. Mineck Furniture Fellowship is a cash award of $25,000 awarded annually to an emerging furniture artist or a furniture artist collaboration. Artist Funding The Artist’s Resource Trust (A.R.T.) Fund is currently accepting applications. Artist’s Resource Trust was established in 1996 to provide support to the creative work of mid-career (aged 35 and older) visual artists who have demonstrated substantial commitment, development and quality in their work. A.R.T.’s focus is on visual artists who live in New England (CT, ME, MA, NH, RI, VT) and in the towns in NY that are part of Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation’s catchment area as of 2015. Creative Economy Business Incubator The Creative Economy Business Incubator at MassArt is an 8-month cohort-based program that helps artists and designers launch and grow creative businesses. Participants receive training in core concepts like marketing and finance as well as mentorship from established creative entrepreneurs. This year, MassArt and The Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture are partnering to create the opportunity for 12 Boston-based artists to participate as Boston Fellows. In addition, five alums will be selected to participate as Alumni Fellows. Applicants for Alumni Fellowships can be based outside of Boston but must be able to come to MassArt’s campus once a week. Los Angeles Queer Film Festival The LA Queer Film Festival celebrates LGBTQ+ filmmakers, writers and stories from around the world. They will be accepting submissions from LGBTQ+ identifying directors, writers, majority LGBTQ+ crew (at least 50%) and/or LGBTQ+ stories of any genre. Learn more.

Residency for Glass Artists The Corning Museum of Glass offers several residency opportunities to bring artists from around the world to Corning, New York. Upcoming opportunities include Artist-in-Residence at The Studio, David Whitehouse Artist Residency for Research, and Black, Indigenous, and People of Color Residency. Artists spend up to a month at The Studio trying new techniques in glass or enhancing their current work, or using the Museum’s vast resources to inspire and inform their practice. The Studio facility is equipped for furnace working, flameworking, kiln working, and cold working processes, and can support other glassworking and fabrication methods upon request. Transportation, as well as room and board, is provided for those selected to participate. A generous supply budget and a shared studio space is provided for each resident. Residents have access to the Rakow Research Library, the collection of The Corning Museum of Glass, and expert Museum staff. A residency manager serves as a liaison to additional services in Corning and at the Museum. Learn more.
