College Instructors Craft Conscious is a website designed to connect, inspire, and support college instructors who approach craft conceptually and are interested in de-centering colonial narratives. The site will host sample course syllabi, mini video lectures, reading lists, etc. Selected video contributors will receive an honorarium. They are currently seeking proposals from adjuncts in particular to financially support the least resourced college instructors during this economically uncertain time. Adjuncts are invited to send a brief (250 word or less) proposal for a 15 minute video lecture, on any craft oriented topic to Anna at ahelgeson@warren-wilson.edu

Craft Artists Grants CERF+ is now accepting applications for the first cycle of their COVID-19 Relief Grant Program. This program will provide one-time $1,000 grants to artists working in craft disciplines who are facing dire circumstances due to food, housing, and/or health insecurities. The first cycle will accept applications starting July 8 and close Friday, July 29. The second cycle will open on Wednesday, August 19, and close on September 9. Priority will be given to eligible artists who have traditionally been underserved by the grantmaking community, including people of color and folk and traditional artists. Learn more.

Call for Proposal The City of Lynn, the Downtown Lynn Cultural District (DTLCD), the Lynn Office of Community Development and the Lynn Public Arts Commission (LPAC) are seeking an artistic concept for a signature work of art at Lynn’s Mt. Vernon and Exchange Street Plaza. The goal of this project is to install artwork that reflects the spirit of Lynn, enlivens the gateway to the DTLCD as a destination, and increases use of the Plaza as a gathering space. Learn more.

Filmmakers The North Shorts Grant and Residency will support projects that explore a range of socially, politically and culturally relevant topics. Six projects will receive a $5,000 post-production grant and participate in a month-long online rough cut lab, culminating with an invitation-only rough cut screening as a part of the 2020 Camden International Film Festival. Following the lab and festival, filmmakers will receive two months of distribution consultation to help get their film out into the world. Learn more.
