Of Note: State Senator Ed Kennedy (D-Lowell), Co-Chair of the Tourism, Arts and Cultural Development Committee, recently filed S. 2246 An Act to Rebuild the Commonwealth’s Cultural Future which would create a $200 million COVID relief and stabilization fund for the state’s cultural sector, managed by Mass Cultural Council. Nonfiction Filmmakers Fund The William Greaves Fund is open to mid-career nonfiction filmmakers from racially and ethnically underrepresented communities in the US, and filmmakers in Mexico, Brazil, Puerto Rico, and Colombia, with particular interest in those who identify as Indigenous and/or of African descent.
