Call for Mendon Town Hall Campus Special Art Project The Mendon Cultural Council is looking for an artist to create a unique visual art installation for the recently restored Town Hall Campus. The artwork will be located outside and must endure the elements and all-weather conditions native to New England. We are seeking an original work that is visually captivating and embodies our town’s personality. Possible media include sculpture, tiles, brick, and painting of planters or murals. One artist is sought to manage this project. The chosen artist may feature solely their own work or work in collaboration with other artists or groups. A single grant of approximately $1,500 is intended to cover the artist’s time and materials for the project and be paid upon the completion of the work. Dance Series The deadline for the Greenway Conservancy’s Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the Greenway Dance Series Presented by Amazon has been extended to Friday, September 23, 2022. Given the specific histories represented on The Greenway, They are particularly interested in working with choreographers/companies of Indigenous, Native, AAPI, Black, and other marginalized backgrounds/experiences. *Local Cultural Council Grants Applications are currently being accepted for Local Cultural Council grants. Applicants may apply to the LCC Program for projects, operating support, ticket subsidy programs, field trips, artist residencies, fellowships or other activities, based on local priorities and needs. LCCs may also choose to fund cultural field trips for children, grades pre-K through 12, by subsidizing the cost for children to attend programs in the arts, humanities, and sciences (including performances, educational tours, and exhibits). Printmaking Residency Fellowship Zea Mays Printmaking is offering a subsidized fellowship for a 2-week residency in our printmaking studio to one practicing printmaker or a pair of 2 collaborative printmakers.
