Call for Artists Seeking a group of artists in any discipline to participate in “Kino Creativo,” an eight-day field-based trip to Bahia de Kino, Mexico. Short classes about the history, culture, and ecology of the region will be given; the rest of the trip will provide time and space for artists to work on individual or collaborative projects. They’ll take daily trips to a variety of local areas including estuaries, islands, offshore, and into the Sonoran Desert. Artist Fellowships National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures Fund for the Arts supports US-based Latino artists and arts organizations in the development, creation, presentation and sustainability of artistic excellence, as well as the opportunity to participate in activities that contribute to professional and organizational growth. Artist Residency Applications are being accepted by the Lighthouse Works in Fisher Island, NY. Their primary purpose is to provide artists with the space and time, free from material concerns, to do their best creative work. Their fellowship program accepts artists working in a wide range of disciplines, but are best able to accommodate visual artists, writers, and musicians. Artist Residency for Women with Dependent Child The Women’s Studio Workshop’s Parent Residency Grant in Rosendale, NY, is currently accepting applications. They are offering a four-week grant for a woman artist with a dependent child/children under the age of 15. The grant includes a $1000 stipend for child care, free housing and a travel stipend of $250 for one round trip for the artist/family. Learn more.
