Call for Cape Cod Artists The Artist Cottages at Orleans Market Square, a sales and studio venue located in Orleans on Cape Cod, in a park-like art filled setting, is seeking artists and artisans inspired by the beauty of Cape Cod and its arts traditions. Applications are now being accepted for Weekends during the Spring and Fall Shoulder Seasons as well as Weeks in the Summer, 2017. They are seeking high quality work in all media. All work must be hand made or hand crafted. Applications should be submitted as soon as possible. Artists will be juried and selections made on a rolling basis, until all available slots are filled. Call to Female Artists The Providence Art Club invites female artists to submit their strongest two and three-dimensional work in any media to the Providence Art Club National Open Juried Exhibition Making Your Mark. This exhibition is the concluding event in a three-month long series celebrating the Art Club’s unique founding as the first such organization to be co-founded by men and women. In 1880 six women and ten men signed the founding documents of the Providence Art Club. One hundred and thirty six years later the Club proudly continues its mission to promote art culture. Annually, the Club hosts an open juried show to provide non-members with an opportunity to exhibit in our Maxwell Mays Gallery, which hosted its first Art Club exhibition in 1885. Making Your Mark will celebrate the achievements of contemporary female artists, thus honoring the women so integral to the founding of this unique organization. Awards: Thirteen (13) prizes totaling over $5,000 in awards. Best in Show prize of $1,000. Open to artists who identify as female working in the United States.
