Call for Art in Western MA Creative Community Connections (C3) of Deerfield presents the 4th Annual Cheap Art Show. This exhibit is based on the Bread and Puppet Cheap Art Manifesto: “Art is Food. You can’t eat it but it feeds you. Art has to be cheap and available to everybody.” This is a one day show that celebrates financial accessibility to art. Feel free to bring originals, or you could bring small works, seconds, mistakes, copies, or work that has been hanging around your studio forever and you would like to move out. Call for Artists The Artists’ Group of Charlestown invites artists (including painters, printmakers, photographers, sculptors, glass workers, wood workers and ceramicists ) to submit applications to exhibit at ART in the PARK. Held at the award winning and historic City Square Park, Charlestown, MA, along Boston’s Freedom Trail, ART in the Park 2016 is on Saturday September 10th, 2016 (rain date Sunday September 11th). Call to Artists Entries are now being accepted for the upcoming juried exhibit Birds of Prey at Mass Audubon’s Moose Hill Gallery. The most widely known of these birds include: hawks, eagles, osprey, falcons, buzzards, vultures and owls. Artists are asked to submit their perceptions and views of these captivating ambassadors of flight. Any medium is acceptable. Artists are invited to submit up to five 8”x10” photo prints, not matted or framed, for judging purposes only. If selected for the show, all artwork needs to be framed appropriately and ready to hang. All prints must be labeled on back with contact information, dimensions, title and medium. Entry fee is $15. Request for Temporary Public Art Proposals The Fort Point Arts Community (FPAC) and the Friends of Fort Point Channel seek proposals for a temporary work of public art for installation in Boston in conjunction with FPAC’s annual fall Open Studios event October 14-16, 2016. Floating Art Installation: One award of $10,000 for a prominent, temporary work of public art sited in, or making significant use of the Fort Point Channel between the Summer and Congress Street bridges. About the RED Biennial: For more than a decade, the Cambridge Art Association has hosted a fall exhibit, open to artists from across the Northeastern United States, centered around a single color.
