Solo Nature Exhibit Artists are invited to submit their “nature based” thematic proposal for the opportunity to exhibit their art work in an individual or partnered show at the Mass Audubon’s Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary in Sharon. Submit a written proposal of your theme accompanied by at least 10 examples of your work in photo format of images intended for the exhibit, not matted or framed, for judging purposes only. Any medium is acceptable for the show. The criteria for judging will include treatment of the subject matter, its relevance to nature, command of their individual craft and the ability to engage the viewer. The gallery can show 26-35 (16″ X 20″) framed pieces in an exhibit, but is not limited to these sizes, larger sizes can be accommodated. The curator will work with selected artist/s to hang the exhibit. Exhibit will run June 23- September 8, 2017. All prints must be labeled on the back with contact information, dimensions, title, and medium. Entry fee is $15; please provide a stamped return envelope if you would like your photos returned. Call for Participatory Art A Call For Art is now open for FIGMENT Boston’s main 2017 event on The Rose Kennedy Greenway, Saturday, July 22 and Sunday 23, 2017. FIGMENT Boston fills the Greenway with free, participatory art that invites people of all ages to play, engage, and make. FIGMENT is completely free and uninterrupted by commercial sponsorships, advertising, and commercial transaction. This event blurs the line between artist and audience, artist and non-artist. Everything that you see at FIGMENT is born from a simple desire to share imagination with each other and the community. This event has the potential to offer the artists and organizations you support an opportunity to bring their talents to a public, multigenerational community. They invite everyone to learn more about FIGMENT and the Call For Art at their next Jam Session at Encuentro 5, 9 Hamilton Place Suite 2A, Boston MA 02108 on Tuesday, May 16 at 6:30 pm – 8 pm.
