Poems, Stories, Essays Gulf Coast is committed to honoring the Stonewall 50th Anniversary by publishing work that responds to and/or engages with LGBTQ history and activism in creative and interesting ways. They are looking for stories, poems, essays, and hybrid works that trouble mainstream narratives and complicate received wisdom. Boston Area Playwrights Applications are currently being accepted for the Huntington Theatre’s Playwriting Fellowships. To be eligible, writers must be live at least nine months of the 12-month calendar year in the Greater Boston area. Admission to the program is based on the strength of the writer’s voice and theatrical vision, along with an alignment between the writer’s current goals and the Huntington’s ability to work in service of those goals.
