Artist Residency The Village Canoe is seeking applications for a 10-day floating artist residency this summer in Maine. Artists and non-artists of all disciplines are invited to apply. Artists selected will paddle with Registered Maine Guides in a big canoe, camping on riverbanks and islands, inspiring and producing work to be exhibited one month following their return. The show will take place in a pop-up greenhouse on the waterfront in Belfast, ME, and will include live performance, artist talks, panel discussion, and educational workshops. Learn more.

Call to Artists Art In the Orchard in Easthampton is seeking entries for its 5th biennial outdoor sculpture exhibit. They are looking for work that resonate with the public, such as those containing elements of whimsical, absurd, and surreal and those that elicit emotional responses. Residency Fellowship Applications are being accepted for the Halcyon Arts Lab Fellowship, which is meant for people interested in the intersection of art and social change. Commissioning Composers The 2019 Classical Commissioning Program from Chamber Music America is accepting grant applications. Chamber Music America’s Classical Commissioning Program provides grants to professional U.S.-based presenters and ensembles whose programming includes Western European and/or non-Western classical and contemporary music. Grants are provided for the commissioning and performance of new works by American composers. The program supports works scored for 2–10 musicians performing one per part, composed in any of the musical styles associated with contemporary classical music. Learn more.

Call to Artists Waterloo Arts invites all artists residing in the US or Canada to submit artwork for the 2019 Waterloo Arts Juried Exhibition. Artist may submit up to three (3) pieces of original art in any two-dimensional or three-dimensional media. All work must have been executed within the last 5 years and not previously shown at Waterloo Arts in Cleveland, OH.
