Funding for Women The Barbara Deming Memorial Fund is accepting entries from artists and writers (cis and transgendered) who exhibit high quality and originality in their work, use feminism as their central interpretive lens, value both personal and political changes that stand against the limitations and controls exerted against women and aim at optimum freedom and agency for women, validate differences that overlap with gender such as race, ethnicity and class, and express an inclusive vision of social justice while focusing on justice for women. Small artist support grants ( $500 – $1500 ) to individual feminist women in the arts who are citizens with primary residence in the U.S and Canada. Learn more.

Playwrights The HRC Showcase Theatre in Hudson, New York, invites submissions of full-length plays to its annual contest from new, aspiring or established playwrights. Each submitted play should be between 70 and 90 pages in length (running time maximum 90 minutes excluding intermission), be previously unpublished, require no more than six actors, and be suitable for presentation as a staged reading by professional performers.
