Watercolors The Monmouth Museum in Middletown, New Jersey, is accepting entries for a juried watercolors exhibition. Critical Art Writing Prize The Toni Beauchamp Prize In Critical Art Writing will consider submissions of work that has been written (or published) within the last year. A variety of creative approaches and formats to writing on the visual arts are encouraged, and can include thematic essays, exhibition reviews and scholarly essays. Call for Art The Nave Annex Gallery in Somerville has announced a call for art for their upcoming exhibition Restructured (November 16 -December 16, 2017). They invite artists of all gender identities who identify their art as feminist to apply. The history of feminist art starting in the 1970’s up until now has been filled with controversy, turbulence, progress and backlashes against women, women’s art, and its place in art history. A question emerges: What is feminist art? And more accurately what is feminist art today? All mediums accepted. Installation and performance work is strongly encouraged.
