Artist Residency Individual artists or artist collectives can apply for an artist residency at Stable Ground Boston. Stable Ground will address the complex relationship between chronic housing insecurity, its psychologically traumatic impact, and municipal housing policy through participatory community-based art and culture programming that is structured to inform the work of the City of Boston’s Office of Housing Stability. Artists must be: located in the Boston Area; willing to work as a part of a creative team that includes lawyers and law students; experienced working with community groups. Filmmakers The Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation’s On Screen/In Person tours new independent American films and their respective filmmakers to communities across the mid-Atlantic region. Filmmakers selected to tour receive: six-to-ten screenings at presenting organizations across the mid-Atlantic. Performing Arts in Boston The Live Arts Boston (LAB) program, a collaboration of the Boston Foundation and the Barr Foundation, will provide up to $15,000 in flexible, project-specific support to artists in dance, theater, spoken word, performance art, circus arts, some music genres, and inter- or multi-disciplinary combinations. Writing Fellowships Applications are currently being accepted for the Fine Arts Work Center’s 2018-19 Writing Fellowship. They award seven-month Writing Fellowships to five poets and five fiction writers each year from October 1 through April 30. Writing Fellows are provided with a private, furnished apartment and a monthly stipend of $750. Fellows are required to remain in residence at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Massachusetts, during the seven-month Fellowship. Learn more.

Figure-Ground Illustrated Sculpture Workshop Sergei Isupov is leading a five-day intensive workshop (January 4 – January 8th, 2018) exploring the sculpted form in clay, the painted surface, and development of a personal narrative.
