New Orleans Fringe Festival (November 17-21, 2010, New Orleans, LA) Seeking weird, wild, fresh and original theatre pieces from emerging artists. Seeking any type of theatre performance, including cabaret, comedy, dance, drama, improvisational, magic, multimedia, musical theatre, performance art, puppetry, storytelling, variety, burlesque, spoken word, and street theatre. The Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation announces the launch of Steampuffin.com and the first annual Steampunk Form and Function Design Competition and exhibit. Steampunk is a sci-fi subculture that mixes modern technology with Edwardian design.
