Arts Workshops Proposals Artists are invited to share your arts expertise with students (ages 8-18) through the ArtsNashoba Regional Arts Center. On an ongoing basis, they are seeking proposals for workshops and classes that deliver relevant and thought-provoking information, concepts and experiences to youth in the artistic disciplines of Theatre, Music, Dance and Visual Arts. Arts Fellowships Guggenheim Fellowships are awarded annually to artists in literature, visual arts, music composition, photography, film, video, and choreography who are residents of the United States and Canada on the basis of achievement and exceptional promise. The awards vary in amount but in the past have ranged from $30,000 to $40,000 each. Learn more.

Works on Paper ArtsWorcester calls for submissions of two-dimensional artwork for a juried exhibit, Works on Paper/Works of Paper. First, Second, and Third Prize will be awarded, with cash prizes of $100, $75, and $50 respectively. Submit up to three works on paper, in any medium, including ink, graphite, charcoal, oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, collage, and encaustic. Learn more.

Artist Residency The Bemis Center is accepting applications for 3 month residencies featuring $750 monthly stipends, staff support, live/work studios and 24 hour access to facilities. Each artist is provided with a generously sized live/work studio with a private bathroom and 24 hour access to facilities including a wood shop, installation spaces, and 10,000 square foot sculpture facility. Public Art Commission The Vermont Arts Council is currently looking for artists to submit their qualifications for public art opportunities at the Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital in Berlin, Vermont. The selected “Lead Artist” will be awarded a $5,000 planning and design contract. Once the design is complete, $35,000 will be available for the fabrication and installation of the aesthetic treatments. Learn more.

Vermont Studio Center Residency Fellowships There are numerous fellowship opportunities for residencies at the Vermont Studio Center. The Clowes Fund Fellowship offers four fellowships, one each for visual artists currently living in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Indiana and Washington. Each award includes a $400 travel stipend. Artist’s Resource Trust (A.R.T.) offers a special fellowship opportunity for New England visual artists over the age of 35 with demonstrable financial need. Call to Artists Kingston Gallery in Boston invites artists to apply for their Associate Membership category. This invitational group of ten is selected by the membership to expand the Gallery’s contact with artists and to encourage new art. Associate Members pay reduced annual dues ($450/year) and participate in many Kingston gallery activities. As a group, they organize, curate, install and staff the Associates’ annual exhibition every August. Learn more. Choreographers Jacob’s Pillow Dance is now accepting applications for the 2014 Festival’s Inside/Out free performance series. Inside/Out performances occur every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:15–7pm throughout the annual Festival. The Inside/Out series is free and open to the public, including contemporary dance theatre to ballet to hip-hop and culturally specific forms. It is a venue geared especially toward educating audiences about dance in a relatively informal way, and giving the opportunity to all people, regardless of their financial means, to experience dance.
