The organization is seeking Roxbury and Boston-based artists of all types to lend their vision to Oasis@Bartlett, a park and three-season performing space at the old Bartlett Station in Fort Hill, Roxbury. Boston Area Artists of Color The deadline for applying to the CreateWell Fund has been extended until June 10. The fund invests in artists of color in the greater Boston community who demonstrate financial need. The program provides project- and goal-based fiscal support to two to four individuals who accomplish both of the following: creating a new original art project honoring one’s authentic artistry achieving a realistic wellness goal tending to a critical aspect of one’s well-being.They will award two to four artists $2,000 up to $6,000, for projects lasting up to one-year in duration. Nonfiction Fellowship The Carey Institute for Global Good is accepting applications for the Logan Nonfiction Fellowship, supporting longform nonfiction about the most pressing issues of the day. No such program in the United States supports only nonfiction reporters and writers working on such important social, political, health, environmental, human rights and justice topics. Residencies ranging from four weeks to three months take place January through May or October through December. Learn more.

New England Artists New England artists are encouraged to submit entries for Everything Happens So Much at Kelley Stelling Contemporary Gallery in Manchester, NH. The exhibition is a curated selection of contemporary artists’ reflections on living in the Age of Everything: social-media overload, the 24/7 news cycle, etc. Kurt Sundstrom, PhD, Curator at the Currier Museum of Art, is guest juror. Studio Space for Artist-Parents Gallery Affero in Newark, New Jersey is offering a free studio space with $1,000 stipend to artists who are parents. Female Filmmakers The Chicken and Egg Accelerator Lab is focused on identifying and supporting women nonfiction directors working on their first or second feature-length documentary, with a special focus on underrepresented voices. The year-long program includes $35,000 in grant funding for film production, mentorship, creative retreats and professional development, industry meetings and funder connections, and peer support. Playwrights The Yale Drama Series is seeking submissions for its 2019 playwriting competition. The winning play will be selected by the series’ current judge, Ayad Akhtar. The winner of this annual competition will be awarded the David Charles Horn Prize of $10,000, publication of his/her manuscript by Yale University Press, and a staged reading at Lincoln Center’s Claire Tow Theater.
